For me, hardware is an opportunity to set the visual language of your home.
It’s something you touch every single day. It is a way to inject so much beauty into a completely mundane task like opening your vitamin cabinet in the morning. If opening a cabinet can make you happy, then why not?! It’s an opportunity for luxury at your literal fingertips and worthy of your attention.

Each room doesn’t have to have the same hardware but there needs to be a common thread and a language that speaks to one another from room to room. This can be established with the finish, shape and scale.
As you may have read in my post about leaving our dream house, we are (lightly) renovating a cottage by the bay to live in while we build our new home over the next few years. I wanted to use hardware that was beautiful, but also not top of the line as we will probably rent out the cottage one day after we move out.
